Monitoring Integration

Video Alarm Verification

Live video feed from on-site security cameras associated with alarm events can be accessed by central station operators, combining alarm monitoring with video surveillance for faster, more accurate response.

Unified Monitoring

  • Alarm events arrive paired with the camera feed that captured them.
  • Operators visually verify before dispatch, cutting unnecessary calls.
  • Verified footage accelerates police and fire response.

CCTV Technology Options

Resolution type and system architecture determine the documentation quality of your footage for criminal and civil investigations.

HD

Highest resolution, accurate color, improved frame rate.

Digital

Increased video resolution, higher megapixel technology, decreased storage costs and a broad range of analytics options.

Analog

You don't need to over-buy solutions you don't need. Some analog systems can easily be updated without running new wire.

Frequently Asked Questions

What video resolution should commercial sites use?
4K cameras are standard for new commercial deployments. Older 1080p cameras still work for low-traffic interior coverage. Resolution alone doesn't tell the full story. Lens choice, lighting and storage retention matter just as much.
What video platforms does CCS deploy?
Verkada, Avigilon (Motorola), Hanwha Wisenet, Axis Communications and Milestone Systems. CCS is a certified partner for each and integrates them into a unified VMS.
Does CCS support AI or analytics-based video?
Yes. Verkada, Avigilon and Hanwha platforms include AI for object classification, behavior analysis and license plate recognition. Analytics get tuned during commissioning so false alerts stay manageable.
Can video alarms be verified before police are dispatched?
Yes. CCS pairs camera feeds with alarm events at a UL-listed Central Monitoring Station. Operators visually verify motion against the alarm signature and dispatch police only on confirmed activity.
What's the difference between cloud and on-prem video storage?
Cloud video stores recordings off-site, which protects against on-site tampering and removes the local server. On-prem keeps recordings on a local NVR or VMS server, which avoids ongoing cloud fees and keeps bandwidth on the LAN. Hybrid setups are common.
Do I need to replace all cameras to upgrade?
Often no. CCS evaluates each existing camera against the new VMS spec. Cameras that meet ONVIF and resolution targets keep working, and underperforming ones get replaced incrementally.
